Terms
Equipment rental conditions
The lease begins at 09:00 AM or as agreed upon. The hired equipment has to be returned within the following day at 09:00 AM (depending on the rental period). If the rental period ends on a Saturday or a Sunday, the delivery must be as agreed upon.
Memory cards or other media kept beyond the agreed-upon rental period will be billed based on the actual number of days held. Media storage discounts are only applicable upon prior arrangement. Additional days will be charged at full price.
Picking up equipment outside of our regular business hours (9:00 AM to 9:00 PM) can be arranged at an additional fee. The equipment must always be returned in a clean and undamaged condition. A cleaning fee of 850 NOK per hour will be charged for equipment returned in an unclean condition.
All equipment has been pre-tested before pickup. Any missing or damaged items upon return that are not covered by insurance will be charged to the renter. We are not liable for damages caused by force majeure, misuse of rented equipment, or defective equipment.
We do not cover out-of-pocket expenses, including lost earnings. We are not liable for loss of footage due to corrupted memory cards or any other loss of footage.
Conditions
The insurance covers any physical damage on or loss of the ensured items in consequence of an accident.
Damage, loss or costs are not covered under the following circumstances:
- Wear and tear, gradual depreciation.
- Mechanical or electrical disturbances and short circuits.
- Breakage of bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
- Overheating of camera
- Scratches on lenses
- Other damages caused by underwater use of insured equipment unless other arrangements have been made and have been added to your insurance papers.
Insurance terms
All rentals are added an insurance which at present is 5% for Scandinavia. For the rest of the world an own rate applies and will be calculated for each case separately.
Own risk deductible of NOK 10 000.- per incident, will be charged.
Transportation
The renter is responsible for the transportation of the rented equipment. Transportation days are invoiced at 50% of the daily rental rate, up to a maximum of 2 days. Certain EU countries require a Carnet. The renter can obtain a Carnet at their own expense.
Payment
Customers who are not registered with us must pay the entire rental fee and a deposit of NOK 10,000 upfront. Please bring your ID and customs and tax registration certificate to our staff when you pick up the equipment.
Late payment interest of 12.5% per annum will be charged on all overdue balances.
Cancellation
No fee is charged for cancellations made within 72 hours of the rental start date. If you cancel between 72 and 24 hours before the rental starts, you'll be charged 50% of the rental fee. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental start date, the full rental fee is due. For rentals lasting longer than five days, different cancellation policies apply.
All prices are in NOK exclusive VAT, freight etc.
We reserve the right to correct any printing or pricing errors that are unreasonably low or high in relation to market rates.
