Sommerhytta

Sommerhytta ("The Summer Cabin") is TV 2's renovation competition, where couples compete to transform their own cabin. The series is produced by Strix and has run since 2017.

The equipment we delivered

Brent has supplied equipment to the production's seasons since 2023. At the core are Sony FX6 cameras on Sachtler Flowtech 75 Aktiv8 tripods, with a range of Sony FE lenses to follow the couples' progress from rough cabin to finished result.

For sound, we supply Wisycom wireless microphones, Sound Devices MixPre-10 II mixers and accessories such as Ambient LTC cables for timecode sync. Aputure lights, including the 600D Pro and Hyper Reflector, light the cabins and the contestants.

For monitoring and transmission, we supply Decimator multiviewers and SWIT 2000 video links for wireless pictures.

Ready for the weather

With one fixed outdoor location for the whole shoot, wind and weather are part of daily life. PortaBrace rain covers and Rycote windshields in the kit mean the team can keep filming when the weather turns.
